I’m Ashley James, a designer and entrepreneur who blends fashion, interior design, and construction expertise in every project. As a general contractor, I’ve had the opportunity to build several in-fill homes across Greenville and the Upstate area, bringing my unique style and dedication to quality to each one.

I have a deep understanding of what today’s buyers are looking for—homes and communities that prioritize quality, sustainability, and floorplans that work with how life unfolds. My design approach is all about creating spaces that adapt to modern needs while maintaining long-lasting appeal.

I’m a self-described “multidisciplinary creative,” and my journey in design started early, influenced by my interior designer mother. Over the years, I’ve worked in various creative fields, from founding the menswear brand Ruell + Ray in 2010 to collaborating with top brands and styling rockstars. My design philosophy centers on simplicity, functionality, and sustainability, with a strong influence from contemporary, timeless aesthetics.

As the co-founder of Nash Homes and the sole principle of NOTRE, I’ve had the privilege of making an impact on Greenville’s architectural landscape with my Scandinavian-inspired homes. I focus on clean lines, natural light, and minimalism, creating beautiful, adaptable spaces that homeowners can truly make their own.

Now, as I continue to push boundaries in design, my mantra is simple: “Quality is the ultimate sustainability.” I’m passionate about creating homes that not only look striking but are also built to last.
